MULTI-LEVEL A minimum of one year of yoga experience is required. Each student will receive the instruction they need to assume the posture that is most supportive to their own body. In this class you will increase strength and tone in your muscles as you explore the traditional postures. Students enjoy readings from different eastern philosophical traditions.

PRENATAL Prenatal yoga addresses those muscular–skeletal changes that accompany pregnancy. For instance, low back strain is very common as is pain generated from impingement of the sciatic nerve and there are postures and movements that help relieve and/or prevent this condition. With a committed practice, the pregnant woman is better prepared for the challenges of labour and delivery. The practice itself is gentle yet challenging, incorporating traditional postures, breath awareness exercises and relaxation strategies.

CONTINUING PRENATAL Open to those women who have completed one session of prenatal classes or who have had a regular practice in place prior to pregnancy.

POSTNATAL Look forward to an outing with your baby and meeting other new Moms and their children. Each class contains an exercise component devoted to strengthening and toning the abdominal & pelvic floor muscles. As the weeks ensue, students will explore the classical postures and enjoy a balanced asana practice of: standing work, backbends, forward bends, twists, and inversions. And yes, sometimes babies fuss, but usually not for very long. The babies enjoy an atmosphere of soft lighting and relaxing music, as do the Moms.
